The programme runs in partnership with the Department of Community and Safety, the South African Police Services, the National Prosecution Authority and the Department of Health.
1. Victim Empowerment Centres
Victim Supporters receive victims at the trauma center and provide crisis intervention to talk the matter through. The victim supporter is trained to contain the situation and guide the victim to decide on his or her options. We currently render counselling and support services at four victim empowerment centres or victim friendly rooms for victims of violence, gender based violence and abuse in Mooiplaas, Olievenhoutbosch, Wierdapark and Lyttleton.
